When I return to a fic that I haven't worked on for a while, it's easier to see where the story got tangled up (though it isn't any easier to see why it tangled).
In a read through, I usually find the spot where the story tips from clear to messy. Then my next step is to decide what to do: cut the mess completely, or try to rewrite/edit.
The problem is that I don't always know which one works best without trying both. Sometimes I rewrite a bit, only to cut it away the next day. It's slow and frustrating, which might explain why I have a big pile of WIP's.
I think I'll focus on those tipping points more.

Accomplished: all day tasks completed, 1 689 words, the plot is taking shape
To improve: concentrated solely on IHA-fic, nothing new on MFEA-fic
Goals: editing and cutting IHA, one WoD for MFEA
