SC wrap up and other thoughts
Jan. 19th, 2015 06:07 pmBit late, but Snowflake Challenge is over and thank you everyone who dropped by and commented on the challenge entries - I got a lot of good tips from the wish list, and lovely comments to the love meme, so thank you all!
Also, this is my writing blog where I natter about writing endlessly (:D), so drive-by comments about writing are always welcome - as are recs about writing books / books about writing!
I've been going through some of my writing files lately, because my laptop was cranky last month and I pushed every file I had to the external hard drive, just in case. I found several fic starts that I didn't remember writing at all (some even 8K-10K long!) and whole stack of shorter clips of all kinds. I have no clue what they are or what story they belong to. I've just typed up stuff from notebooks and such. Weird :D It's like someone had gone and written fics on my computer without me knowing.
Overall, I've been writing really slow, I don't know why. I'm not coming up much new ideas, so I'm working on some stories I've slowly chipped away for ages - I think one of them I started in 2012. I would want to get back to the NaNo pace, it was really good way to get a lot of words. The story seemed to move onward every day, which is rare when you are in the editing/rewriting grind.
I have to go see if I could find any good 'how to generate ideas' -tips, I got few but more is always better. Or is it 'new is always better'? :D
