Existential Deja Vu
Nov. 26th, 2015 10:57 amWell, it looks like the store I'm working part-time will stay open (at least through Christmas sales, no idea what will happen after) and they'll keep me as the extra for the time being (again, no idea if they have the need after the Christmas season).
So that's good! What's not so good is that around here there's very little jobs to apply to, unless you want to do telemarketing - I don't, because I'm rubbish at it. Mom has been poking me to move, but honestly, the situation is about the same everywhere. The employees can hire kids without experience for the minimum wage, why would they hire me with experience and sales degree when it means they have to pay me more for it.
Basically, I'm running circles in this same rut I've been running in the last ten years.
And I don't have the energy or the initiative to do something big and bold - like move somewhere else, or start my own company, or go back to Uni for PhD, or anything really, except this same old same old.
I just want to be excited about something, that's all. Sigh.
(NaNo is running at 41K, I think I can herd my gaggle of stories across the finish line. It's not a text book win, but win still, right?)
