The Remix Tour!

a_qThis round of Remix I got showered with fabulous stories! And here they are:
The story for me in the main archive was Take Him By the Hand (The Understanding Remix) by Afrocurl
The remix gives my original story a regency spin, which is absolutely fabulous! The mood is beautiful, and there is so many lovely, thoughtful and plain hot details that I keep finding new things in it every time I read it.
As if that wasn't enough, I also got two (!!) Remix:Madness stories:
Pick Up the Pieces and Go Home (The Rulers Make Bad Lovers Remix) by Red
This is also a remix of Take Him By the Hand, but completely different take both to the original as to the other remix. The story is placed in the after-DOFP framework, which make the whole trust-game aspect much more painful and poignant. There is also really hot details included, same as Afrocurl's version.
And then, to really spoil me rotten, I also got:
Before the Storm (the delinquent's choice remix) by Afrocurl
I love a/b/o, (that's probably obvious when you look my AO3 tags) and I honestly cherish the times when someone remixes any of those stories (I understand a/b/o isn't for everyone's taste, so they won't get the remix treatment often). And this remix is an interesting version of the original, just by shifting the agency from Emma to Alex. It's a study of Alex's views and opinions in the situation of my original work, and the remix is a very clever spin on it, keeping in the details but creating completely different, yet equally possible resolution. Gosh, such great work!
My remix was for Unveiled, called Trigger (Master of Puppets Remix), and I'm happy to say that the recipient seemed to like it! Mission accomplished :)
