The Yuletide Letter

Dear Yuletide Writer,
Welcome! I hope you already have plot bunnies hopping around!
In case the optional details I added didn't help you any but hindered instead, feel free to put your own spin on things. If you feel good with your story, I'm sure it will be a delight to read.
If you find it helpful, please feel free to browse my own fics - there is a lot of crossovers, lot of kinks and plenty of female characters. If you feel like kinks or crossovers or more of cool female characters would really help with the Yuletide, go ahead!
I was pondering how to explain things that I don't like and I only came up one thing: I don't like forced plot, action or characters. I like when stories have their own (seemingly) effortless flow; there is no seams at sight. If you start writing something fun and notice you have dramatic angst at your hands, don't worry about it! I really rather be surprised, than have a forced funny story.
(If this makes any sense)
My general theme this year was independence and self-reliance.
Pushing Daisies: Charlotte Charles
She is the Living Dead Girl and I found the character fascinating. I would like a story about her, on her own, doing her very own things. She can speak several languages, she likes bees, honey and cheese, but what else she is? What is she feeling and thinking, does her outlook on life differ from others - she is after all, pretty unique.
If you want to use other characters, of course, please do.
I think you can do any style of story here, I would like something dark and twisted but it isn't a must if you have a great idea brewing already.
Wonderfalls: Jaye Tyler
Any story about Jaye would be really really great, I can't even explain. Again, dark and twisted is my preference, mainly because the things animals tell her are rather...weird, not to mention dangerous. So, what is the root of the voices, is there an end-game? Or perhaps, what if there was two type of voices, one contradicting the other? Or, someone else (like Mahandra?) started to hear what Jaye hears as well?
Like Jaye, I've studied Philosophy, so if you have ever felt like making a Philo joke, this is your chance, you got rapt audience!
Sarah Connor Chronicles: Sarah Connor
Independence is my theme this year, and there is no independent character as Sarah Connor. Except, she has constructed her life around her son. What happens to Sarah after John is gone to the future? Without her son and as such the center of her life and mission, what kind of person she is? What does she do?
Kindred: The Embraced
I requested this fandom last year as well, and I received absolutely fabulous fic for it. So, being a creedy, I'll ask it again - not that there could be too much K:tE fic, I believe.
I think I wrote in the optional field that I wanted to see some sort of clash of different point of views (or manners or values). In the course of the show there was several young women who got screwed pretty badly, so there could be interesting starting point - women robbed of their humanity. Or, if you like Caitlin, she gets wiped a lot but what does it do to her? Alter her personality or view of the world? What does she see?
Then there is Frank who is seeing everything from the kindred world (doesn't get wiped though), and he is often against about everything (and where did his interest with Luna start anyway?)
Or just flip the side and take any kindreds point of view to the humans running around, doing weird and pointless things.
I hope my ramblings helped you, even a little bit.
Happy writing, happy Yuletide and above all, thank you!
