Good start!
Nov. 6th, 2013 08:14 pmFirst six days of NaNo, and I'm still in schedule! Yesterday was a slump day, only got about 800 words together, but four days had gone over the 1667 - best one today, with whopping 2640!
The whole word count is now: 10 071 / 10 002
Which means I'm over the dreaded 10K hump! Yes! I've been cycling through four stories: Yuletide, Secret Mutant, my own story and a random plot bunny hop. I don't remember if that's cheating (is NaNo about one story, and one story alone?) but since I'm not an official signed up member, it's not really cheating, is it? It's a working writing method!
Also, hopping from story to story is efficient when there are several deadlines ahead: both YT and SM are over the word limit after two days. Boom. Done! (well, not done, obviously. Serious editing ahead! But I have a concept, and good chunk of story to edit, that's half the battle.)
Now. How to keep the good writing pace going?
