Honestly, who is going to know?
Aug. 27th, 2015 09:54 amI want to write a Hobbit fan fic - just for myself, mind, bit of relaxed fun. I even got a cheap notebook and a nice, sharp pencil to go with it. So everything is fine, right? Open the notebook & have fun, that's the whole point.
But nope. I've read too much fic, so every angle I'm trying, I get this thought stuck in my head: 'didn't I just see this idea in someone elses fic?'
But it's a ridicilous thought, because why yes of course I did: Bagginshield romance is hardly unheard concept, after all. It's been written thousand times BUT it doesn't mean I can't write one too (just for myself, for fun! Goodness sake, brain! It's not that serious).
It's a weird mental hurdle. I know it's silly, but it doesn't stop my brain going: yeah, you know, I'm sure I saw this somewhere...
Sigh.
