On the Nature of Challenges

I didn't get a single Season of Kink -square finished. I got all five started though, so that's something? I really liked my card as a whole, but for some reason I had trouble coming up with the individual stories - I had several concepts for postage stamps, for example.

I started posting one of the longer stories from my WIP file. Mostly because I feel like I've accomplished something when I post a chapter, and that gives me energy to tackle the next chapter. Also, it's more managable - I don't think I have to finish the whole story, I just have to finish this one chapter. I also have an outline for this story, which is a bit unusual for me, so I wanted to see if I could actually work with a set outline.

Considering I haven't done all that well in challenges this year, I'm feeling bit hesitant about NaNo. But I'm going to try it, if not one big story, then maybe for several shorter ones?

Also, I would really like to sign up for a Hobbit-themed holiday challenge, mostly because I would love to request fem!Bagginshield. But a) I haven't managed to write anything Hobbit themed despite several tries, and b) I haven't done well in challenges this year, so maybe it's wiser not to sign up on anything.
But fem!Bagginshield story, gaah! I want one!
...Maybe someone else requests it? /fingers crossed
