Where did the September go?
Sep. 21st, 2015 11:25 amGaah, time is running out! I wanted to have an idea for this years NaNoWriMo ready for outlining & worldbuilding in October, so I could get a flying start on the 1st. But so far I have...let me see...aah, nothing? Not even a genre!
I know, I can't choose the genre so it sticks - last year I wanted to write a detective novel with a body and people figuring out the murder, but it turned into very messy sister vs. sister smackdown + spies. So, basically, if I set out to write something like chic lit, I probably end up with hard boiled crime novel with body parts mailed through post, or something. (Well, Janet Evanovich makes that combo work brilliantly, so it's not impossible after all!)
Speaking of 'body parts in mail', I finally managed to watch the entirity of Sons of Anarchy's last season. And predictably, the last two episodes I cried, a lot. I think I got dehydrated from all the crying. It was clear how the show had to end, there was no doubt of it from the last episode of season 6 onwards, but gaah. Very heavy.
I think I'll marathon Brookly Nine-Nine for counter balance today.
